Day one of training
The most interesting feature I learned about today was Google Earth. It's amazing how through technology, the smallest building can be pin pointed and magnified. We discussed possible ways this feature can be used in the classrooms; geography reports, virtual field trips, or to enhance a story read in literature class. We also learned how to record and post a podcast and that scripts help to avoid a case of the 'umms'. We created an event in Google calendar and invited a friend and we learned about the versatility of Google docs and other applications. I have definitely learned a lot today and look forward to the rest of training.

I also found Google Earth to be very interesting and quite informative especially when implemented into the school system.
ReplyDeleteHi Kamesha,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you feel that you learned a lot, and it's good to see that you're reflecting on the ways that you can implement these tools in the classrooms. One of the goals of the Internship will be to keep coming up with new and innovate ways to integrate these tools.
